What to Expect from P-Shot Therapy

Calla Genics' P-Shot procedure starts by extracting the patient's blood and concentrating the blood's healing factors (like stem cells and other growth factors). From there, the patient's white and red blood cells are separated in a centrifuge, which spins the blood at high speeds until it separates. From there, the patient's concentrated healing factors are injected into their penile region.

Calla Genics' P-Shot treatment is hassle-free and pain-free and can usually be completed in less than an hour right here at our P-shot clinic in Golden Lakes.

P-Shot Therapy and Botox for Erectile Dysfunction

For men with serious cases of erectile dysfunction, Calla Genics offers our P-Shot with the added bonus of Botox for increased effectiveness. We know what you're thinking: "Isn't Botox meant for women? I don't care about the wrinkles on my face; I just want help with my ED."

While it's true that Botox is most commonly associated with female anti-wrinkle treatment, researchers believe it can help with male ED as well. Botox—which is technically a bacterial toxin with the name botulinum—smooths out wrinkles by blocking nerve impulses that cause muscle contractions.

That same mechanism may help men achieve erections. Botox can interrupt the release of norepinephrine, which restricts blood flow. But it doesn't affect the release of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a crucial element in achieving an erection since it relaxes smooth muscle and causes blood to engorge the penis.

Because of the nature of Botox, research shows that it may give men enhanced erections for months. Older men with particularly severe ED may see the most significant improvements. As an added bonus, Botox may work for males who have physiological erectile dysfunction (caused by blood flow issues) and psychogenic ED (triggered by physiological factors).

P-Shot Treatment for Peyronie's Disease

While the P-Shot can work wonders for men experiencing performance and erectile issues, the P-Shot has other uses. One of the most important and revolutionary issues the P-Shot treats is called Peyronie's disease.

Found in nearly 10% of all men in the U.S., Peyronie's disease is a common problem that can affect a man's sexual activity and sex life. Essentially, Peyronie's disease is the medical label used to describe an abnormal curve or bend in a patient's penis. Though it's very common for a man to have a slight bend in their penis, men suffering from Peyronie's disease experience significant pain, especially when trying to achieve an erection. Because of the nature of the disease, Peyronie's is linked to male erectile dysfunction.

Peyronie's disease is often caused by a previous injury or damage to a man's penis via sexual intercourse or physical activity. Some of the most common symptoms of Peyronie's disease include:

  • Painful Erections
  • Unusually Soft Erections
  • Extreme Penis Curvature
  • Significant Difficulty Having Sexual Intercourse
  • Lumps Found in the Penis

Living with Peyronie's disease makes life quite difficult. Unfortunately, we're discovering that this malady is more prevalent than we once thought. That's probably because more and more men are coming forward to talk about their ED. We understand if you're suffering from Peyronie's disease but are reluctant to speak to a professional due to embarrassment. However, if you're sick and tired of living with Peyronie's and want to reclaim your sex life, Calla Genics' P-Shot may be the long-term solution you need.

The alternative to the P-Shot involves "traditional" treatments like penile stretching devices and penile implants, which sometimes involve vacuum technology and invasive procedures. If you're cringing a little just reading those words, Calla Genics' P-Shot is the way to go for Peyronie's disease treatment.

How Fast Does the P-Shot Work?

Results vary for every patient, but in general, many men discover relief soon after their first P-Shot treatment. If you're a man struggling to achieve and keep an erection, Calla Genics' P-Shot should help you almost immediately. Other enhancements, like more penis girth and size, can take longer.

What Side Effects Should I Know About?

Because our P-Shot treatment in Golden Lakes uses a patient's own blood, there is no risk for harmful side effects or allergic reactions. It's a pain-free treatment that we perform right here at our male sexual health center, and is usually over in 30 minutes or less.

How Much Does Calla Genics' P-Shot Cost?

Pricing varies depending on our patient's needs. Compared to other erectile dysfunction treatments, P-Shot therapy is relatively inexpensive. Since there are no oral medications or pills to take, patients don't have to worry about refilling prescriptions. The P-Shot is also much less expensive than surgical options, which require multiple doctor's appointments, follow-ups, and more.

The Benefits of Combining Gainswave and P-Shot Therapy in Golden Lakes, FL

Studies published via the International Society for Sexual Medicine found that Gainswave treatments display significant, positive results that can last as long as 12 months. And while low-intensity shockwave therapy is proven to provide significant improvement in erectile function, Gainswave doesn't have to be used all on its own.

For the most effective male enhancement treatment, many men are combining Calla Genics' Gainswave therapy with our P-Shot treatments. These two revolutionary ED treatments feed off one another to provide a doubly-beneficial effect. In medicine, we call it a synergistic effect.

The platelet-rich plasma from the P-Shot can help open up a patient's blood vessels in their penis. This can actually enhance the effectiveness of Gainswave therapy. Conversely, Gainswave treatments can help stimulate healing factors used in the P-Shot, essentially sending PRP deeper into a patient's damaged penis tissue.

How Bocox™ Can Help You!

Here at Calla Genics, we have now been doing the P-Shot® procedure for years with much success and with a significant body of medical research that supports the procedure. In the studies below, you will notice that we have added units of BOTOX, which the recommended dose showed effectiveness up to 6 months with maximal effect at 6 weeks.

The mechanism of action of BOTOX in the penis seems to be partly due to the relaxation of the smooth muscle of the arterioles, resulting in increased blood flow (and even in a small increase in length in one study). This increase in erection firmness by increasing arterial flow is exactly how Viagra and Tri-mix injections work. In two separate studies, the injection of BOTOX was helpful to some men (not all) for whom Viagra and Cialis had quit working.

BOTOX, at much higher doses, has been used for 2 decades for various problems with an extremely safe history. The P-Shot 100™ procedure is a specific method of injecting blood-derived growth factors, including platelet-rich plasma (or platelet-rich fibrin matrix) and botulinum neurotoxin, to improve the health of the penis and enhance the size or function of the penis. The procedure includes patient selection, method of preparation of materials, method of injection, aftercare, and more.

Suppose someone wants Botox alone injected into the penis. In that case, we have the Bocox™ (BoPriapus) procedure: a specific method of injecting the corpus cavernosi of the penis with botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT)–BOTOX– to improve penile tissue health and to enhance erectile function or penis size.

Our Guarantee: You will see results. If you are not pleased with the results of your procedure for any reason, you can get a full refund for the procedure for up to 3 months.

LAKE MARY, FLORIDA – Noah Grubbs & Company made sure to send the Lake Mary High School football seniors out in style on Friday night, and then some.

Grubbs, a highly recruited sophomore quarterback, tossed five touchdown passes, three to Carson Hinshaw, to lead the unbeaten Rams (7-0) past visiting Evans (Orlando), 36-6, on Senior Night in a Class 4 Metro, District 2 game.

This game was all but over by halftime as fans on both sides were treated to an amazing aerial show from Grubbs, who threw for 187 yards and TD passes of 55, 12, 19 and 73 yards to propel Lake Mary to a commanding 29-0 lead going into the break. The Rams scored on four straight possessions after Grubbs was intercepted by Evans star defensive back Brandon Jacob on their opening series.

Grubbs, who has numerous Power 5 offers with a full two years to go, then lofted a nifty 20-yard TD pass to Hinshaw in the end zone for a 36-0 lead with 3 minutes, 58 seconds left in the third quarter. That score started a running clock and the Rams (2-0 in the district) closed out the win.

Grubbs finished with more than 280 yards passing, and when he wasn’t passing, Isaiah Thomas was running roughshod over Evans’ defenders for more than 80 yards.

Impressively, Lake Mary’s offensive fireworks didn’t gas the Rams’ defense, which forced four punts and two turnovers on downs before allowing Jermaine Hardy to bust up the middle for a 16-yard TD with 8:27 left.

“Offensively, we played very well,” said Lake Mary coach Scott Perry. “Defensively, played very well. Got to get special teams tuned up, but I like how we’re playing on both sides of the ball.

“Noah is a heck of a quarterback,” Perry said, “had a great game again; the receivers, too. The line protected him, and Isaiah (Thomas) ran well. And, defensively, we had some guys step up.”

Grubbs continues passing mastery

Grubbs passed two more benchmarks on Friday, surpassing 2,000 passing yards for the season (2,200-plus now) and upping his TD passes to 34. He only has five interceptions for the season.

He also showed grit after uncharacteristically throwing an interception on his second pass of the game. He bounced back by completing 7 of his next 11 passes to put the Rams in control.

Big day for Hinshaw

Hinshaw benefited the most from Grubbs’ passing with seven catches for 122 yards and three TDs. The senior ran crisp routes and left Evans defenders in the dust all night long, hauling in TD passes of 55, 19 and 20 yards.

He was one of three players to catch a TD pass, with Logan Cook and Carson Friedman hauling in one each.

“Noah is special,” Hinshaw said. “I’ve known him my whole life. We just have a really good connection. He’s a great player, a great teammate to have.”

Lake Mary defense holds its own

The Rams’ defense, meanwhile, showed it is up to the task of competing for a district championship after keeping Evans’ high-powered running game out of the end zone for most of the night. The Trojans have three good runners in Hardy, Li’darious Pryor and quarterback Chris Peterson, one of the better dual-threat athletes in the area.

Lake Mary used speed and physicality to win the day, led by linebackers Luke Prieto, Jack Lorenz and John Scarelli, and defensive lineman Jaylen Golden to name a few.

“They’re a physical team on offense and our guys stepped up and made plays when they had to,” Perry said.

Tough district stretch

Evans was the first of three straight district opponents that Lake Mary must face as the season winds down. The Rams visit defending district champ and state runner-up Apopka on Oct. 20, and then Seminole on Oct. 27.

Apopka and Seminole both beat Lake Mary during the 2022 regular season but the Rams defeated the Seminoles in the playoffs.

“We only get one at a time,” Perry said. “We got Apopka. That’s what we’re worried about now.

Tomorrow, Sunday, November. 7, is the last day to enjoy Golden Corral’s endless buffet of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert favorites. The restaurant, located at 1555 Grand Hwy, Clermont, is closing.

The location is expected to become the future site of an Ale House, a restaurant and sports bar.

Orlando Health’s popular employee benefit, the Preferred Education Program, has expanded. Effective November 10, Orlando Health team members will be able to pursue an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or certificate at Lake Sumter State College or St. Petersburg College without incurring any out-of-pocket costs.

“The Preferred Education Program is one of several benefits that support and enrich the working environment at Orlando Health; enabling us to become one of the best places to work in Florida,” said Karen Frenier, chief nurse executive and senior vice president, Orlando Health Human Resources. “We are 100 percent committed to team members and to helping them achieve their career and life goals. In these first 11 months of the program, Orlando Health has provided nearly $1 million to cover the cost of tuition and books for participating team members.”

“Because of our partnership with Lake Sumter State College, there are even more options for our team members to pursue quality higher education,” said Lance Sewell, president, Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. “For team members across our hospital system who call Lake County home, the expansion of this program means that they can begin or complete their educational journey right in their community. We’re proud to continue offering this benefit and excited for the impact it will have.”

Founded in 1962, Lake-Sumter State College, founded has a rich history of providing quality education in Central Florida. The college is consistently ranked in the top 10 percent of community colleges nationwide by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program and is among the most affordable colleges in Florida. LSSC offers a wide variety of certificates and degrees at campuses in Clermont, Leesburg, and Sumterville that prepare students to work in today’s rapidly evolving workforce.

“We truly value the strong partnership between the College and Orlando Health South Lake Hospital,” said Dr. Stan Sidor, Lake-Sumter State College president. “Our current collaborations paved the way for innovative, industry-leading programs and opportunities for health sciences education available at Lake-Sumter State College. Now, we are excited to welcome even more Orlando Health team members into our classrooms and provide them opportunities to further their careers.”

Since launching in December 2020 with Valencia College and expanding to include Seminole State College in August 2021, more than 700 team members have used the program. With the addition of the two new colleges, Orlando Health’s Preferred Education Program is now available on 26 college campuses in six Florida counties and through virtual learning, where available.

With the Preferred Education Program, Orlando Health pays 100 percent of the cost of tuition and books – with no annual cap – directly to the colleges, so team members pay nothing. Administered by Bright Horizons EdAssist Solutions, the program offers an opportunity for team members to pursue a degree or technical certificate at any of the four colleges in many programs including nursing, diagnostic medical sonography, respiratory care, physical therapy, emergency medical technology, health services administration, health sciences, information technology, business, construction, hospitality, and more. Team members are also able to receive one-on-one support from Bright Horizons EdAssist Solutions academic coaches, and the college’s student affairs and advising staff, who will help guide them through every step of their academic journey.

Researchers want to test how fast the water vanishes, and why.

Lakes near Keystone Heights are dwindling to historic lows. Some have disappeared altogether, leaving behind dry, cracked ground or mud-caked bogs.

The combination of years of below-average rainfall in the area and the limestone ground that lets water leak into the Floridan aquifer are the culprits. Now, scientists are asking if pumping millions of gallons from new sources can be the solution.

Researchers from the St. Johns River Water Management District want to spend two years testing how fast water vanishes - and why - when it's poured into a creek feeding the chain of vanishing lakes near the Clay-Putnam county line.

"We have a monitor system that's distributed across the area. … We'll see responses in all these monitoring wells," said Al Canepa, an assistant division director for water resources at the management district.

Positive findings could encourage the agency to look for water that other places have to get rid of - storm water, cleaned wastewater from sewage plants, even places where lakes or creeks come close to overflowing during wet seasons. That water would help replenish the area whose lakes are either gone - such as at Gold Head Branch State Park - or all but gone.

But all of those solutions would require pipes many miles long to reach the Keystone area.

To test their idea first, researchers plan to drill a deep well to the lower aquifer. (Drinking water comes from the upper aquifer.)

Then, they'll move 1,000 gallons a minute - 1.4 million gallons daily - from underground to the surface of a retired duPont mining site on Camp Blanding, where drainage trenches run down to waterways that feed Alligator Creek and the lakes it supplies.

Potential benefits

The test isn't designed to restore the lake levels, said Teresa Monson, a management district spokeswoman. But it could raise groundwater levels a little and maybe help the lakes. If nothing else, the agency thinks lakes might rise faster and last longer after rainfall, the way a moist sponge holds water better than a dried-out one.

Even a little water has to be a positive, said Keystone Heights Mayor Mary Lou Hildreth, who encouraged the experiment.

"There are people in this town who have lived here 70 years. Nobody has seen the lake this bad," Hildreth said. "It's turning into a prairie."

She said fish kills have multiplied in smaller lakes that have become shallow and unhealthy for them. The dock behind her home where grass was taking over a year ago now seems farther than ever from open water.

There was a prayer vigil for rain a couple of months ago, Hildreth said, but the lakes are still shrinking.

"I'm afraid by this summer, this whole thing might be pretty much dried up," she said.

Finding a solution could be harder than just adding water, because the ground under the lakes could be full of sink holes and crevices that can pull vast quantities from the lakes.

Lakes normally lose water that evaporates into the air or gets absorbed on shorelines, but "leakage" through the ground is a wildcard.

Research goals

The area's karst geology is made from layers of limestone that dissolve in water, and scientists don't know whether underground conditions are making some areas dry up faster.

"That is precisely what we're trying to find," Canepa said. "… Is the leakage constant in this system?" The test is expected to cost about $500,000.

The researchers also want to measure how much water quality changes, something that will become an important question if recycled wastewater, also called "reuse water," is eventually pumped to the area.

Reuse water is commonly marketed for lawn-watering but not drinking. Questions about water quality matter more in the Keystone area because the barrier to the aquifer is so much more porous than in most places.

The management district will use "a whole suite" of tests to look for water changes, checking about 50 testing sites, said Scott Laidlaw, a senior hydrologist at the agency.

JEA, the Jacksonville-owned water and electric utility, briefly discussed the potential for piping reuse water to the Keystone area two years ago as part of a management district plan for meeting water needs in 2030.

A pipeline that could stretch dozens of miles would be hugely expensive, and it isn't clear yet whether it could even be effective.

"It's really about the economics," said Athena Mann, JEA's vice president for environmental matters. "We're really looking toward the district and the technical information to see what is the correct strategy."

Seth Raynor built Mountain Lake, a millionaires’ winter retreat, in two stages, completing one nine in 1917 and the other four years later. As he did on all his projects, Raynor produced some “template holes” and some originals. At Mountain Lake, his par-3 fifth sports a very authentic Biarritz green and the seventh is recognizable as a Road Hole. But the par-3 11th, designed with a canted, slanted Redan green, has been reworked in recent years, with the front half of the putting surface flattened to create pin positions just above a 10-foot-deep frontal bunker. Restoration expert Ron Prichard and his associate Tyler Rae have been reclaiming Raynor features for over seven years, working most recently on perfecting the unique “circus ring” contour in the middle of the ninth green.

Reviews

“To play Mountain Lake is to take a step back in time. The course and the ‘colony’ are hidden away in Central Florida, found only by those who are supposed to be there. The ambience is very ‘old school’, including both the anonymity of the club and its snow-bird membership, as well as the relatively undisturbed Seth Raynor layout."

“Impeccable conditioning, with well-kept edges, especially around the greenside bunkers. Some of the best greens I’ve ever played."

“The unmistakable Raynor geometry is omnipresent, with clean lines and simple shapes, plus steep grass faces of the bunkers throughout the golf course. Most of the usual template holes are easily identifiable, and the green complexes are classic, with great examples of the double plateau, biarritz, short, redan and punchbowl in particular."

“Feels very much like playing a course back in 1916."

“Surprising elevation change for Florida. Wonderful Raynor template holes, green complexes, and bunkering. Thumb print green feature on the Short hole was somewhat unique in that it was on the center of the green. Somewhat forgiving off the tee but green complexes very demanding. Island tee on #8 was supposedly the first island tee box when originally built. Bok tower in distance on #10 is the aiming point off the tee, interesting use of landmark."

“Private course. Only remaining Seth Raynor course in Florida. Fun course to play."

“Immaculate conditions prevail at this "Golden Age" Seth Raynor classic. Fairways were firm and fast and the greens rolled true. Course possessed all the template holes. Bunker placement dictated the preferred route to each hole. Play it if invited."

“I may have been the youngest person on the course by 30 years. An absolutely fabulous community and course amid suburban Orlando strip mall sprawl. Must play in the area. Fabulous Raynor design. Great use of the relatively tame property. A step back in time to 70 years ago."
