What to Expect from P-Shot Therapy

Calla Genics' P-Shot procedure starts by extracting the patient's blood and concentrating the blood's healing factors (like stem cells and other growth factors). From there, the patient's white and red blood cells are separated in a centrifuge, which spins the blood at high speeds until it separates. From there, the patient's concentrated healing factors are injected into their penile region.

Calla Genics' P-Shot treatment is hassle-free and pain-free and can usually be completed in less than an hour right here at our P-shot clinic in Port St. Lucie.

P-Shot Therapy and Botox for Erectile Dysfunction

For men with serious cases of erectile dysfunction, Calla Genics offers our P-Shot with the added bonus of Botox for increased effectiveness. We know what you're thinking: "Isn't Botox meant for women? I don't care about the wrinkles on my face; I just want help with my ED."

While it's true that Botox is most commonly associated with female anti-wrinkle treatment, researchers believe it can help with male ED as well. Botox—which is technically a bacterial toxin with the name botulinum—smooths out wrinkles by blocking nerve impulses that cause muscle contractions.

That same mechanism may help men achieve erections. Botox can interrupt the release of norepinephrine, which restricts blood flow. But it doesn't affect the release of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a crucial element in achieving an erection since it relaxes smooth muscle and causes blood to engorge the penis.

Because of the nature of Botox, research shows that it may give men enhanced erections for months. Older men with particularly severe ED may see the most significant improvements. As an added bonus, Botox may work for males who have physiological erectile dysfunction (caused by blood flow issues) and psychogenic ED (triggered by physiological factors).

P-Shot Treatment for Peyronie's Disease

While the P-Shot can work wonders for men experiencing performance and erectile issues, the P-Shot has other uses. One of the most important and revolutionary issues the P-Shot treats is called Peyronie's disease.

Found in nearly 10% of all men in the U.S., Peyronie's disease is a common problem that can affect a man's sexual activity and sex life. Essentially, Peyronie's disease is the medical label used to describe an abnormal curve or bend in a patient's penis. Though it's very common for a man to have a slight bend in their penis, men suffering from Peyronie's disease experience significant pain, especially when trying to achieve an erection. Because of the nature of the disease, Peyronie's is linked to male erectile dysfunction.

Peyronie's disease is often caused by a previous injury or damage to a man's penis via sexual intercourse or physical activity. Some of the most common symptoms of Peyronie's disease include:

  • Painful Erections
  • Unusually Soft Erections
  • Extreme Penis Curvature
  • Significant Difficulty Having Sexual Intercourse
  • Lumps Found in the Penis

Living with Peyronie's disease makes life quite difficult. Unfortunately, we're discovering that this malady is more prevalent than we once thought. That's probably because more and more men are coming forward to talk about their ED. We understand if you're suffering from Peyronie's disease but are reluctant to speak to a professional due to embarrassment. However, if you're sick and tired of living with Peyronie's and want to reclaim your sex life, Calla Genics' P-Shot may be the long-term solution you need.

The alternative to the P-Shot involves "traditional" treatments like penile stretching devices and penile implants, which sometimes involve vacuum technology and invasive procedures. If you're cringing a little just reading those words, Calla Genics' P-Shot is the way to go for Peyronie's disease treatment.

How Fast Does the P-Shot Work?

Results vary for every patient, but in general, many men discover relief soon after their first P-Shot treatment. If you're a man struggling to achieve and keep an erection, Calla Genics' P-Shot should help you almost immediately. Other enhancements, like more penis girth and size, can take longer.

What Side Effects Should I Know About?

Because our P-Shot treatment in Port St. Lucie uses a patient's own blood, there is no risk for harmful side effects or allergic reactions. It's a pain-free treatment that we perform right here at our male sexual health center, and is usually over in 30 minutes or less.

How Much Does Calla Genics' P-Shot Cost?

Pricing varies depending on our patient's needs. Compared to other erectile dysfunction treatments, P-Shot therapy is relatively inexpensive. Since there are no oral medications or pills to take, patients don't have to worry about refilling prescriptions. The P-Shot is also much less expensive than surgical options, which require multiple doctor's appointments, follow-ups, and more.

The Benefits of Combining Gainswave and P-Shot Therapy in Port St. Lucie, FL

Studies published via the International Society for Sexual Medicine found that Gainswave treatments display significant, positive results that can last as long as 12 months. And while low-intensity shockwave therapy is proven to provide significant improvement in erectile function, Gainswave doesn't have to be used all on its own.

For the most effective male enhancement treatment, many men are combining Calla Genics' Gainswave therapy with our P-Shot treatments. These two revolutionary ED treatments feed off one another to provide a doubly-beneficial effect. In medicine, we call it a synergistic effect.

The platelet-rich plasma from the P-Shot can help open up a patient's blood vessels in their penis. This can actually enhance the effectiveness of Gainswave therapy. Conversely, Gainswave treatments can help stimulate healing factors used in the P-Shot, essentially sending PRP deeper into a patient's damaged penis tissue.

How Bocox™ Can Help You!

Here at Calla Genics, we have now been doing the P-Shot® procedure for years with much success and with a significant body of medical research that supports the procedure. In the studies below, you will notice that we have added units of BOTOX, which the recommended dose showed effectiveness up to 6 months with maximal effect at 6 weeks.

The mechanism of action of BOTOX in the penis seems to be partly due to the relaxation of the smooth muscle of the arterioles, resulting in increased blood flow (and even in a small increase in length in one study). This increase in erection firmness by increasing arterial flow is exactly how Viagra and Tri-mix injections work. In two separate studies, the injection of BOTOX was helpful to some men (not all) for whom Viagra and Cialis had quit working.

BOTOX, at much higher doses, has been used for 2 decades for various problems with an extremely safe history. The P-Shot 100™ procedure is a specific method of injecting blood-derived growth factors, including platelet-rich plasma (or platelet-rich fibrin matrix) and botulinum neurotoxin, to improve the health of the penis and enhance the size or function of the penis. The procedure includes patient selection, method of preparation of materials, method of injection, aftercare, and more.

Suppose someone wants Botox alone injected into the penis. In that case, we have the Bocox™ (BoPriapus) procedure: a specific method of injecting the corpus cavernosi of the penis with botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT)–BOTOX– to improve penile tissue health and to enhance erectile function or penis size.

Our Guarantee: You will see results. If you are not pleased with the results of your procedure for any reason, you can get a full refund for the procedure for up to 3 months.

Two tornadoes touched down Monday evening on the Treasure Coast, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

They were reported after the NWS issued a tornado warning about 5:30 p.m. for St. Lucie and Martin counties and extended it through 6:30 p.m.

The first tornado appeared to touch down west of Interstate 95 and travel northwest to North River Shores, said meteorologist Cassie Leahy. Damage to trees and fences was reported near Woodbine Way.

The second tornado appeared to touch down near Becker Road and I-95, Leahy said. No damage was reported.

She didn’t know the strength of the tornadoes because meteorologists still are collecting damage reports.

Motorists on I-95 pulled off the side of the road for safety and to watch the dramatic images.

Area residents were urged to take cover and move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows.

Hundreds were without power as of 8 p.m. across the Treasure Coast, according to the FPL Power Tracker Map, including over 500 outages in Martin County and over 400 outages in St. Lucie County.

Heavy rain and strong winds continued in St. Lucie County through the early evening. A cold front will trigger more showers and storms on Tuesday.

The line of storms was from a front passing through that will cool off temperatures and lower humid conditions for the rest of the week, clearing the way for sunny skies in South Florida through Friday.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — A new Costco distribution center will soon be constructed in Port St. Lucie, creating hundreds of jobs for the Treasure Coast.

The Economic Development Council (EDC) of St. Lucie County said the facility will be a cold and dry storage depot located at the Legacy Park at Tradition off Interstate 95 and Southwest Becker Road.

The site will eventually include two facilities totaling 1.87 million square feet and employ more than 500.

The site plan for the project was approved by the Port St. Lucie City Council on Dec. 4. The first phase consists of a 595,000-square-foot cold and dry storage facility, which the EDC said will employ 265 people at an average wage of $55,350 plus benefits.

Officials said construction of the facility's first phase will employ 549 people.

A 1.06-milllion-square-foot dry goods distribution center will be built in the second phase, according to the council. Two future expansion areas of 60,000 square feet for cold storage and 147,500 square feet for dry storage are included in the plan, according to an EDC news release.

"This is another great economic development project in the works," Port St. Lucie Mayor Shannon Martin said in a statement. "While this is a somewhat different Costco project than our city had worked toward in the past, the reality is that the jobs this Costco depot will bring us, at well above our county's average wage, will make a huge, positive difference in the lives of 265 local families and the lives of the many others these families touch — and that's for the first phase alone."

The Port St. Lucie City Council approved an incentive package for Costco on Monday. The package includes ad valorem tax exemptions for real and tangible personal property at 100% for the first five years, then at 90%, 80%, 60%, 40% and 20% for the next five years; mobility and impact fee mitigation and an opportunity for a Job Growth Investment Grant.

The new facility in St. Lucie County will replace a current Costco depot facility in West Palm Beach. The director of real estate for Costco Wholesale said at Monday's Port St. Lucie Council meeting that their West Palm Beach site, located near 45th Street and Florida's Turnpike, will be relocated since they had "maxed out their growth."

The first phase of the project is expected to take about a year and a half to complete.

Other facilities that exist at Legacy Park at Tradition include FedEx, Amazon and Cheney Brothers.

Despite discussion about a future Costco store eventually being built in Port St. Lucie, the only Costco approved to be constructed on the Treasure Coast is in Stuart. That store is tentatively slated to open in the summer of 2025.

"Bringing in ... a company like Costco into Port St. Lucie is really amazing," Jennifer Davis, the director of the Port St. Lucie Community Redevelopment Agency. "We hope that ... at some point in the future Costco will look at this site and see the benefit of not only having the distribution jobs here but also having the retail establishment here too."

PORT ST LUCIE, Fla. — Tradition in Port St. Lucie could soon be getting an "entertainment district" full of fine dining and restaurants, nightlife, retail and more.

This month, Port St. Lucie City Council members voted to start a land deal negotiation with Gustavo Lumer, a real estate developer from Miami, for the 100,000 acre plot of land between Southwest Village Parkway and Interstate 95.

The district, if built, would be located north of the Amazon warehouse by the planned Costco Distribution Center.

"With so many homes coming to the area there’s a need for entertainment, a need for places to walk to dinner," said Lumer.

Lumer is already putting in four restaurants, including Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse and First Watch on the empty plot of land near the Panda Express and Dunkin Donuts on Southwest Village Parkway.

"We ran out of room," Lumer told WPTV's Kate Hussey. "We have larger restaurants that want to come, more investment and some entertainment, some indoor sports."

The district would cost about $6.8 million dollars, which Lumer would fund. It's one of several parcels of land in that area that could be developed, and would likely rake in thousands if not millions of dollars to the county and city.

"It’s going to generate some great jobs," said Pete Tesch, economic development council director for St. Lucie County. "We are working with the developer through their site plan and development and we'll consider doing a detailed economic impact analysis once we know the capital investment, jobs and consumer spending habits."

Tradition resident Steven Widows was thrilled to hear about the potential plans.

"This area is growing tremendously, especially the past couple of years, and there’s not enough entertainment so to speak for it," Widows. said “I think having something local would be smart. Maybe a little nightlife action, maybe some shopping, a movie theater, a breakfast spot please?"

David Reeves, who moved to Port St. Lucie recently, said he saw both positive and negatives to the project.

"It's the way it’s wielded, whether for good or for bad," Reeves said. "With the development there’s going to be more congestion, more people, the roads are going to be harder to traverse."

Resident Trina Long, who has lived in Port St. Lucie since 1999, said she feared the added development would bring more congestion and confusion.

"The houses are being built so fast, people are coming and they can't keep up," said Long. "It's so congested and crowded, what used to be a 5 to 10 minute drive can be 15 or 20 minutes now."

Lumer addressed those concerns, and said he took traffic into consideration before planning the project.

He told WPTV's Kate Hussey that he partially chose the district's location because of its current infrastructure, not in spite of.

"It's an easy way in and an easy way out," Lumer, of Village Parkway, said. "We will build enough parking spots for everybody so there's plenty of space and we wont create a traffic jam.

"So, you don't foresee any backups that would be caused by a project like this?" asked Hussey.

"No, I don't think so," Lumer replied.

WPTV reached out to the city of Port St. Lucie, who declined to comment since no official project plan has been submitted.

However, in the city's meeting earlier this month, Mayor Shannon Martin said the plan fits in with the city's 2018 Master Plan.

Remember, nothing is approved yet aside from the city moving forward to negotiate a potential land sale.

If that eventually goes through, Lumer said the next step would be development.

Port St. Lucie Man Tells The I-Team: My Backyard is Water World

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Port St Lucie man contacted the CBS12 News I-Team, angry about what’s happening in his backyard.

He says all the new houses being built around the neighborhood are turning his slice of paradise into water world.

And he wants the city to do something about it before the rains come back.

“There are so many developers in the city,” said Rudy Mosher, “The city doesn’t care about us. My backyard floods because there’s no place for the water to go.”

When the I-Team visited Rudy’s home on southwest Ithaca Street, it was a beautiful afternoon. Everything was dry.

Rudy, who retired from General Motors, takes a lot of pride in his lawn and garden; lots of flowers, a thriving banana tree.

But the photos Rudy sent the I-Team during the height of the rainy season tell a different story. A soggy, sinkhole-riddled moonscape. Rudy has spent thousands of dollars and many hours trying to fix the problem.

Rudy has put in a pump and has installed underground PVC pipes to try to take the water out to the street, since he can’t get any help from the city.

When the Moshers moved here 12 years ago, it was just woods behind their house. Then, over time, the woods were cut down, and new neighbors came in. The last three years have seen rapid development.

The newest house was built by Maronda homes. From his backyard, Rudy can see the pipe that’s supposed to carry water in the neighbor’s backyard to the drainage ditch in front of the lot.

But instead, the water flows backwards. To Rudy.

“It wasn’t graded properly,” Mosher said.

Here’s a quick crash course in “grading” - that’s the slope of a property, which determines which way the water runs when it rains.

Getting it right is down to the homebuilders.

If they do it wrong, they can be fined – or sued or so we thought:

“I called the city and I said I want to sue that developer because of all the water that’s coming on my property. She said you can’t sue the developer. I said what do you mean I can’t sue the developer? She said you can’t, however, she said, after the new owner takes over the property, if he can’t maintain his water, then you can sue him, and I said, that doesn’t make sense, it wasn’t his fault.” Mosher told the I-Team.

Rudy says the city went on to tell him to build a berm in his back yard. A raised embankment to keep the water out, like a dam.

“I bought all the material and I put up the fence myself, and now they want me to put dirt around my fence, to destroy my fence. Right now it’s bad enough that the water is destroying it. It’s not my responsibility to maintain their water. It’s my responsibility to take care of my water, as I have been doing for 10 to 12 years.”

Maronda Homes has not returned calls for comment.

The city sent two statements responding to the I-Team:

“I regret that Mr. Mosher has experienced frustration over the situation with his neighbor. In this regard, my role as Mayor was to connect him with city staff in the department that can help address his drainage issue. I am aware that our team has actively worked on addressing the issues that he raised.

The assertion that developers or home builders are given preferential treatment is completely untrue. Every builder and developer is held to the same standard in Port St. Lucie, and they are given the same consideration as residents when it comes to property rights.” -Mayor Shannon Martin

“The City of Port St. Lucie cares about our residents and it is our mission to provide exceptional municipal services that are responsive to our community while planning for smart and balanced growth that is managed in a financially responsible manner. The City takes our obligations to residents seriously as we work to ensure new homes are built according to our code requirements and regulations. The City has and will continue to require all standards are met for new development.

Regarding Mr. Moser’s claim, a final inspection of the lot drainage was completed and the new property is in compliance with City rules and standards. The City has done everything we can to support the resident with the development of the new home adjacent to his property.” - Sarah Prohaska Director Communications Department (on behalf of the city)
